Histoiry
Cannes itself existed as a fishing village for many
centuries and is surrounded by many tales of sailors
and fishermen, until the 19th century when Cannes
began it's rise to fame and fortune with a chance
visit by Lord Brougham during the winter of 1834.
He was taken in instantly by the charm of the coast
and the feeling of well being due to the climate.
He then invited many of his wealthy friends and colleagues
to stay, they equally fell in love with Cannes and
gradually an English community evolved, followed by
Kings and Queens of Europe, thus the creation of rich
living began. Sumptuous villas were built first followed
by the construction of prestigious hotels, these went
on to inspire architects and the making of the Russian
Palace and many other Palaces. It was thanks to the
economy boom in the early 1900 this helped create
it's big name of the (grand allure). The way and quality
of life has made Cannes a major name on the Mediterranean
coast, the magic has been greatly influenced by foreign
influx and their subtropical plants.

stretches right along the Cannes coastline and is
overlooked by the Palais de Festival and palaces decorated
with magnificent arrays of plants, flowers and exotic
