How big is Le Colombier ?
It is a park of 22 acres, divided in 403 places delimited, equally dedicated to traditional campers and to mobile-home tenants (our mobil-homes look like little houses, new fashion)

Is there enough shade?
More or less, this varies per area. Not all the trees have fully gronwn and we have tried to give you a new exotic impression.

Which kind of people come to Le Colombier ?
At Le Colombier we didn't wait till Maastricht to become Europeans and the atmosphere during the holidays is perfect. Most of our clients are couples and families. It is known that language is not a problem for children to make new friends.

What are the opening days ?
Open from 15/03/08 until 19/10/08. Reservations from 1 November .

Is there a bus connection to the town ?
Yes, the bus stop is just in front of the entrance of the campsite; to go downtown, to the railway station or to the beaches coast 1,30 €. In July and August the city of Fréjus provides a free shuttle connection between the beaches.

Are animals allowed at Le Colombier and at the beaches ?
Animals are allowed at the campsite but please remember that you have to keep them on a leash and that the vaccination papers have to be in order. Cleaning after them is your responsibility. A tax of 4 € per animal and per day has to be paid (july/august). Concerning their access to the beaches: it is forbidden except, on a leash, at a certain part of the beach of Les Esclamandes in Saint-Aygulf, 6 kms from Le Colombier.

Where is the railway station?
The railway station of Fréjus is 1,5 kms from the campsite. The car and sleeping train is 4,5 kms. The railway station of Saint-Raphaël-Valescure is 8 kms distance. The bus serving le Domaine du Colombier is : 1 - 11.

What are the activities for teenagers ?
Every day in July and August the games organizers propose sports tournaments, water games, excursions like Laser Quest, walks, party-evenings at the discotheque…

What should we know concerning the disco ?
The disco accepts anyone over the age of 16. Entrance fee is payable (3€).

Is there a special club for young children at Domaine du Colombier?
Yes, a girl is in charge of activities for children (4 years old to 10/12 depending of the games) every day during the summer season. Starting 10.30 till 12.00 and 16.30 till 18.30 they can freely use the workshops for pearls, scoubidous, pompons, make-up, ball tournaments, treasure hunt, painting... without forgetting the water games organised, swimmers snack, the children playground, the sports area and waterslides at the pool

You are in a pinewood in the South which means that charcoal barbecues are strictly forbidden. You can hire an electric barbecue or use the collective barbecue at the pique-nique area.

What do we find at the aquatic complex of Le Colombier ?
Games equipment for the children’s paddling pool, a children's pool of 65m², a swimmingpool of 600m² which is HEATED during the off season, 3 waterslides, 2 jacuzzis®, free sunbeds, fitness and a restaurant grill (opened during the summerseason).

Which kind of sports can we practice within a range of 10 kms ?
The real fans will have to deal with one problem: make a choice out of the huge offer: fishing, water skiing, sailing, jetskiing, deep sea diving, karting, horseriding, tennis, golf... Rafting, canyoning and hydro speed take place in Gorges du Verdon, 76kms from Le Colombier…

Is a doctor present at Domaine du Colombier ?
You only have to ask for it and a doctor or a nurse will come to your plot of the campsite. If necessary, the receptionists will arrange an appointment for you with a specialist. At the swimmingpool a first aid service is available.

Is Le Domaine lit at night ?
Yes, the roads are lit and the sanitary blocks also (like small provencial houses) in - and outside.

Peut-on stationner le véhicule sur l'emplacement ?
Yes or close.

Is there a special beach for nudists available ?
Yes, at the latest part of the beach of Les Esclamandes in Fréjus- Saint Aygulf, 6 kms from Le Colombier.

Is there easy access into the sea for people with reduced mobility ?
Yes, near to the lifeguards station on Capitole beach in Fréjus, there’s a ramp with a special seat to take people with reduced mobility down to the waters edge safely.

Is there a car or bike rental service ?
Yes, but you have to go to the town to pick them up. Prices : were for a small car (Renault Twingo ) 55€ min./day, 260 € min./week and for a mountainbike junior 15€/day, 50€/week.

What about the sanitary blocks at Le Colombier ?
The sanitary blocks are small houses in provencial style, equipped with individual cabins with cold (drinkable) and warm water, cleaning 2/a day. Key of the cabins for handicapped people are requested at the office for the length of your stay. There are special places available to empty the chemical toilets of camping car. One of the sanitary blocks is heated during the offseason to provide more comfort to the campers.

Which activities are interesting for grown-up ?
The Boules tournaments followed by the aperitif for the players are always a big success. The watergames, volleyball-, basketball- mini foot- or half-court tennis tournaments are also appreciated. An excursion to a neighbouring wine castle with the possibility to taste some wines of French Riviera is a small pleasure you mustn't deprive yourself. For the ones who would like to explore the surroundings, we organise some bus excursions (Monaco, Vintimiglia, Gorges du Verdon) or boat excursions (admire the French Riviera coast and to call at Saint Tropez is a must). We also created 2 itineraries to visit the country with your own car at your rhythm (the Olive-oil mill in Callas, the lake of Saint Cassien and Montaroux). Concerning the evenings you will enjoy : cabarets, music performances, karaoke... at the bar-restaurant. And why not end the night at the discotheque ?

Is the access at Le Colombier private ?
Yes. Le Colombier is guarded day and night and is completely closed. Your children can bike without problems and cannot get out of the campsite. At your arrival a personal access code is given to you. Visitors such as friends and family are allowed. When they are staying longer than 2 hours, they will have to pay a camper's tax because of security reasons and to afford an overpopulation of the facilities. And your neighbours at the campsite, who do not receive visitors, will not admit that people have access to the same facilities than them without paying like they do.

How can we pay at Domaine du Colombier ?
Nearly all kind of payment are accepted : credit card (Visa, Eurocard-Mastercard), eurocheques, french cheques, campingcheques and cash. You can change foreign money into french francs at the reception.

What are the possibilities to stay at Le Colombier ?
We propose you : - Camping places (electricity) for tents, camping cars or touring caravans. The size of each plot varies depending on the topography of the terrain, that's why we created 3 different categories. - Fully equipped places for mobile-homes which are totally new or 2 years old. These mobil-homes are like small houses and you can choose between 4 different models with an increasing comfort up to air-conditioning.

Which services are offered ?
You will find a general supermarket at the entrance of Le Domaine where you can buy bread, croissants, vegetables etc and also newspapers.This shop is managed by Casino which is a guarantee of quality for the products and to get the same prices than in supermarket. A bar-restaurant, right in the middle of the site, offers a splendid view over the Esterel-mountains and the sea, traditional french meals are served there but you will also find a take-away service for pizza's and French fries... During the summer season : a games room (with billiard, table-football, video games), the restaurant grill at the poolside and the discotheque are opened. Wireless (WIFI) internet connection on all plots (€) with additional WIFI boxes available free of charge for those clients whose lap top computers are not equipped with WIFI. A tourist information desk with brochures of the region and a Multimedia area with internet facilities fitted with memory card readers for digital cameras, web cam, USB key points, CD writer, laser printer, scanner and Open Office Pack (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat Reader) at your disposability. Here you will find a ticket and booking service for various activities : bus and boat trips, rafting, jet-skiing… At the reception you can hire: safes, electric barbecues, refrigerators, laundry-kits and baby-kits. A postal service is available. Washing-machines are available on the campsite. Free access to the sports area, lit until 11 p.m. and free use of the equipment. A barbecue area with picnic tables close to the playground are at your disposal.
