Sailing
event : Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez September 27th, - October 5th, 2008
For
a full week, the Saint-Tropez bay welcomes
over 250 sailing ships and over 3000 sailors
which participate in different races devoted
to the spirit of sport and conviviality.
Old sailing boats, some dating back more
than 100 years while others are the most
sophisticated and high-tech, gather under
one banner uniqueness, strength and grace.
In one word, a thrilling and colorfull
show !

d’Azur Fréjus Roquebrune sur
Argens October 8th - 12th, 2008
The
greatest event in the world for mountain
bikes takes place in October in an enchanted
surrounding: the Base Nature: 150 hectares
with 1200 meters along the sea between
Fréjus and Saint-Aygulf. The majority
of the courses are in the solid mass of
the Maures in the communes of Frejus and
Roquebrune sur Argens: view over the Mediterranean,
perfumes of the hills, sun... all that
make you languish to be there. The Base
Nature Base then becomes the surrounding
of a show of 12 000 m² - 180 exhibitors
- 7000 vehicles - and adds up more than
100 000 visitors. Entertainment is organized
on the Base and in the arenas Frejus:
Trial Show, fashion parade of cyclists
clothing, concert, fireworks, the great
champions are present.And since then the
figures do not cease to increase. In front
of this growing success, the tests were
adapted to the level of each one, course
of 8 up to over 50 km: Roc Marathon –
Roc Masters – Mid Roc – Roc
Tandems – Roc Ladies – Kid
Roc – Roc d’Azur. In the same
way 2 choices are offered to you: timed
tests (races) and tours (non-timed course).
For each one its challenge.

Festival : La Fête des Plantes à
Fréjus April 5th - 6th, 2008
This
flower festival has become a successful
event rapidly gaining in popularity. It
takes place in the somptuous residence
« la Villa Aurélienne »,
amidst roman remains and magnificient
umbrella pine trees. Orticulturists from
the south of France meet up to show their
production: a wide array of plants with
various species and colors are displayed…
This show is unique and a must for Mediterranean
plant lovers.
Harley-Davidson Eurofestival May 22nd - 25th, 2008
OPEN RALLY – All makes of motorbikes welcome. The prestige make
is organising an exceptional weekend at the gulf of St. Tropez : concerts on
the beach, parades of customised bikes, various shows, concessionaires, welcome
stands for HOG®… Excursions to discover the country side behind or along the coast.
The
Cannes film festival was launched on 20th
september 1946. Since 1972, films are
chosen solely by the organizers. It covers
a wide array of films from all over the
world: all subjects and film trends are
shown. The choice is based on their quality
and commercial impact. Throughout the
years, this event has become so important
that it cannot be missed by professionnal
involved in the film industry. Part of
the festival is open to the general public
(« Cinéma de la Plage »).
Free Entries are distributed by the city’s
Tourist Board. Every year, thousands of
fans gather in Cannes to see their favorite
film actors and actresses.
Since
1929, the Monaco Grand Prix drains a crowd
of Formula 1 fans. The circuit covers
3,367 km and requires 78 qualifying rounds.
Part of the race takes place along the
bay while the other crosses the city center.
It gathers an exhilarating crowd while
the small Kingdom vibrates with life.
