Firework displays : Festival of pyrotechnic art staged at Fréjus harbour, illuminating it with thousands of stars and bursting flashes of light.
Fréjus celebrates its harbour. In Roman times it was considered one of the most important in the Mediterranean area, before being invaded by the sand. Finally in 1989 Fréjus rediscovered its maritime vocation. Fréjus harbour brings together its past and present history in the form of warm provencal coloured neo-palladian architecture . Regional theatre companies stage street entertainment there to revive the olden day traditions.
